I’ve been learning more about wheel maintenance and was wondering when
rim repair is a better option than replacing a damaged wheel. Potholes, curbs, and road debris can sometimes cause bends, cracks, or other damage that may affect how a vehicle drives.
Some signs that a rim might need attention include vibration while driving, slow tire pressure loss, uneven tire wear, or visible damage to the wheel. I think it’s important to have any suspected damage inspected by a qualified professional rather than continuing to drive on it without checking.
Has anyone here had a damaged rim repaired? What type of damage did you have, and how did you decide whether repairing or replacing the wheel was the better option?
