New to Bounce House Rentals, What Should I Know Before Booking?

Booking my first one for an upcoming party and wanted to crowdsource advice before diving in. Looking into bounce house rentals for the first time and curious what other people wish they'd known going in.

The biggest thing that surprised me researching this is how much sanitation and safety practices vary between providers. A solid company should be cleaning and disinfecting units before and after every rental, not just a quick wipe-down, and should carry proper liability insurance in case anything goes wrong. Delivery crews should also be trained to anchor the unit properly and walk you through basic safety guidelines before they leave, rather than just dropping it off.

Selection seems to matter more than I initially thought too, some providers have a much wider range of themes and licensed characters than others, so if you've got a specific party theme in mind, it's worth checking their catalog before assuming any company will have what you want. Space requirements are another thing to nail down early, smaller units need less room, but combo styles with slides or obstacles can need significantly more yard space, so measuring beforehand saves a headache.

The last thing that seems worth checking closely is the weather policy, specifically what happens if it rains on the day. A fair rain-check or cancellation policy laid out clearly before booking is a lot better than finding out the fine print morning-of. Anyone got a first-timer tip or a mistake they'd avoid next time around?
