How Does ISO 21500 Improve Project Success Rates in Iraq?

Our organization recently went through the ISO 21500 certification process, and it got me thinking about how much structured project management frameworks actually affect project outcomes in practice.

Before certification, we already had project planning and reporting processes in place, but the ISO 21500 approach encouraged a more consistent focus on risk management, stakeholder communication, resource allocation, and project monitoring. In my view, these are often the areas where projects run into delays, budget overruns, or coordination challenges.

We obtained our certification through AGS, and while researching the standard I found their explanation of ISO 21500 and its application in Iraq helpful: https://agsiraq.com/iso-21500-certification-in-iraq/

I'm curious to hear from others who have implemented ISO 21500 or similar project management frameworks in Iraq.

Have you seen measurable improvements in project delivery, cost control, risk reduction, or stakeholder management after adopting more formal project management practices?

I'd be especially interested in perspectives from construction, engineering, oil & gas, manufacturing, IT, and infrastructure projects, where project execution can become particularly complex.
